Taylor Steele is one of the most successful surf filmmaker of all time. With over 20 titles to his credit, his name is synonymous with a unique brand of high-action filmmaking (including such genre-defining titles as Momentum and Loose Change), while his more artistic releases (such as Shelter and Sipping Jetstreams) have ushered in whole new eras of extreme sports cinematography. The Drifter marries Taylor's distinct eye for action with his artistic brand of visual storytelling. And it's only fitting that Steele should be directing this Machado profile, as the two got their start filming together when they were both still in high school. Today, both are icons of their fields and still collaborating.
